Draft Time Machine
Draft Time Machine is the brainchild of two OG basketball fans who spent way too much time feeling nostalgic about ‘90s basketball, complaining about how defense is dead and debating the big what if’s of the NBA.
Right around debate 10,234 they thought, “What if we build something that lets you actually do this?”
“What do you mean?”
“What if you build an app that lets you settle these debates with stats and you could use AI and all types of cool techy sh*t to accurately predict how a team would be impacted?”
“Yeah that would be amazing, let's do it.”
So turns out all that “cool techy sh*t” is really hard to build. But, what they did build was a pretty sweet draft simulator and thus Draft Time Machine was born.
- Redraft— run a single year's first round yourself. Every pick is yours; no trades, no do-overs.
- Draft Simulator — take one franchise across up to five straight drafts and project how the rebuilt roster performs season by season.
Player ratings power the engine behind the scenes but are never shown on the board — you draft on names, positions and gut, the way a real GM would. Photos load from live sources and fall back to team-colored monograms so a card always looks intentional.
